Let’s End this $#!+ show year, year end show
Throughout this year, things regarding beauty, thoughtfulness, togetherness, innocence and really just sweetness have taken a beating. We decided to put together a goodbye to 2020 exhibition that showcases imagery from our artist profiles that remind us of those simple and lovely things that bind us together. Below are selected works that we feel suggest those feelings. We hope these works can be a hopeful reminder of better days to come. Please visit our ‘artists’ page to view works by these selected artists and others. There is plenty of beauty and thoughtfulness in the whole group.
- Steven J. Duede, Artist, Aspect Founder
To say that this has been a year of challenges is an understatement. Personally and professionally, almost nothing in the past twelve months has happened as anticipated, and I most certainly am not alone in that sentiment. I am too often pulled away from what really matters, and when I have the opportunity to be reminded of this, I am grateful. Aspect Initiative is one of the things that matters. I consider it a gift to be connected to the photo community in Boston and beyond. To see and write about these works, and to get to know the artists behind them, is a privilege. In a year where it has been hard to catch our breath and anxiety is a constant companion, the 12 works that Steven has put together for our December offerings are hopeful and light—whether in their palette, composition, or where they bring us back to.
Sending peaceful thoughts to all as we kick this year to the curb.
